FAQ
Downtime?
After treatment you can usually go back to your normal life and activity. It is important not to rub the areas that were treated to allow the Botox to work where it is intended. You may have some slight bruising which disappears within a few days, but most people do not have a problem.
How long does it last? When do you see results?
It takes about 3 to 8 days to start to see the benefits of Botox, and at 2 weeks you will see the maximum effect that it will have with the treatment you had. Each treatment usually lasts between 3 to 5 months, but many people see benefits well beyond this period.
The best thing about the treatment is that your wrinkles and skin appearance will continue to improve as you have further treatments and can often significantly improve deeper lines without any other procedure needed!
Does it hurt? How many injections?
Usually the injections are painless except for a very mild ‘scratch’ sensation when the needle is inserted into the skin. To help reduce this a few people like to apply ice beforehand to numb the area, so they do not feel anything.
The number of injections needed depends on how many areas you would like addressed. Usually at the first visit we will do no more than 3 to 5 small injections of a few droplets of Botox, which is enough to have a significant effect.
